The Federation of Somalia Universities (FESU) which is an institutional Network of Universities from the different federal states including Benadir region and currently made up of 9 universities from two federal regions of Somalia, joined the Global Universities Network for Education Development (GUNED) and thrilled to uphold her members interests throughout the world.

The GUNED members are internationally renowned universities which are coming together in a newly formed Global Network aiming at facilitating academic collaboration, clustering expert knowledge and learning from each other through best practices. Yet the idea for the global network grew during the Covid-19 pandemic, almost the early stages in 2020 which itself demonstrated the need for scientific international collaboration.

The Global Universities Network for Education Development (GUNED), created under the auspices of almost worldwide Intergovernmental Organizations, networks and Leagues around the world in 2020, is a membership-based organization serving the global higher education community through knowledge and leadership expertise, trends analysis, events, publications, portal spaces, direct and indirect advisory services, peer-to-peer learning, events and global advocacy efforts for democracy, freedom, and development campaigns.
