The Pulitzer Center Programs will loom Somalia

Despite, over the last two months SOMESHA Secretary General was attended three different webinars from the Pulitzer center through Zoom it becomes hope for every journalist in across Somalia because the center is a dynamic and constantly doing a journalism initiatives which are informative and educative once.

Mr. Daud Abdi Daud who heads the Somali Media for Environment, Science Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) was joined the Pulitzer Center’s online 2021 conference and a virtual global gathering with journalists from every continent on April 20-24, 2021.

“On behalf of SOMESHA members and Somali media fraternity we have acknowledge that Pulitzer center is doing a grade job and learned also some of the hundreds of reporting projects they did in which focused on the environment and education including climate change over the past 15 years”. Said Hon. Mr. Daud Abdi Daud SOMESHA Secretary General

Existential environmental threats like climate change and deforestation can be difficult to quantify and require ambitious reporting methods to examine. In 2020, Pulitzer Center grantees tackled such issues by collaborating with scientists and utilizing data models. Join grantees to discuss how their data-driven reporting enabled them to analyze how large-scale environmental issues impact populations around the world, from the Guatemalan Highlands to the island of Sumatra.

“Imperatively as we know Somalia has had renewal climate change problems each year and her professional journalists need climate reporting directory and professional training so that is why I’ am here Pulitzer Zoom to recopy their knowledge and reshare my colleagues in across Somalia”. Mr. Daud added

The Somali Media for Environment, Science Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) thrilled to reach and attend the Pulitzer Center’s 2021 conference, Environment (Re)-Defined and SOMESHA is seeking to cooperate with the center so soon in order to develop Somali journalists through the Centers projects.
