SOMESHA Joins the World Health Day Celebration

The Somali Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) is to celebrate the occasion for World Health Day April 7, 2021 and raise awareness in a camps level of the importance of universal health coverage and the ways in which Somalis could gain access to better health care.

 “The Somali people who are in the IDP camps are not among the most resilient in the world,” said H.E Mr. Daud Abdi Daud, SOMESHA Secretary General.

He further stated that SOMESHA focusing on primary health care coverage through which a mother and child can access the best services.

Hawo Abdullahi Ali who heads 12 IDP camps umbrella said” Health is not just about physical well-being but also about the mental and social aspects so we need help as our IDP’s community are under lack of adequate medication”.

“That is why we are celebrating this World Health Day celebration as we would also like to thanks Germanian society who endorsed to help us this year”.Hawo added

World Health Day is celebrated on April 7 every year, the theme for world health day 2021 is Building a fairer, healthier world.
